Terms of Use
Last updated: June 9, 2025
Welcome to Glya Health. We've built this platform to support people navigating the dementia care journey — whether you're a primary caregiver, a family member near or far, a friend helping out, or a professional care worker. These Terms of Use ("Terms") set out the rules for using our Services so that everyone's experience is safe and positive. By using our Services, you're agreeing to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
1. About our Services
Glya Health Inc. ("Glya Health", "we", "us") operates a digital health platform available at www.glyahealth.com (the "App"). Our Services provide dementia care information and resources, tools to help coordinate and track care, and a way to bring together everyone involved in supporting a person living with dementia — all in one place.
A note on professional advice
Our content is for informational purposes only. We are not a substitute for professional advice — medical, legal, or financial. Nothing on the platform should be taken as a diagnosis, treatment recommendation, legal guidance, or financial direction. Please always consult a qualified professional for advice specific to your situation. When it comes to the health of someone in your care, that conversation with their doctor matters.
2. Accepting these Terms
U.S. users: by using the Services, you're accepting these Terms. It's that simple.
EU and UK users: we'll ask you to actively confirm your acceptance when you register, including a separate consent for the processing of any health or care information. You can withdraw that consent at any time — just contact us via our Website.
Wherever you're based, if you don't agree with these Terms, please don't use the Services.
3. Your account
To access most features, you'll need to create an account. Please keep your details accurate and up to date, and keep your password private — you're responsible for everything that happens under your account. If you think someone else has gained access to your account, let us know right away via the contact form on our Website.
4. Family and care team subscriptions
We know that caring for someone with dementia is rarely a one-person job. That's why our paid subscription is designed for the whole care team — not just one person.
The Primary Subscriber
When you purchase a subscription, you become the Primary Subscriber. You manage the subscription, control who else has access, and are responsible for ensuring that everyone using the Services under your account complies with these Terms. You are the point of contact for any account-level matters.
Adding care team members
As the Primary Subscriber, you can invite others who are involved in caring for your loved one to join your subscription. This is intentionally broad — it includes family members whether they're nearby or following along from across the country, close friends helping with specific tasks, and paid in-home care workers. There is no fixed cap on the number of people you can include. Use your judgment about who genuinely needs to be part of the team.
Managing access
You decide what each care team member can see and do within the platform. Some members may have full access; others may have a more limited view depending on their role. You can update each person's access permissions at any time through your account settings. We recommend reviewing your care team list whenever someone's involvement in the care journey changes.
Your responsibility for the care team
You are responsible for the actions of everyone you add to your subscription. Please only invite people who are genuinely involved in the care of your loved one, and make sure they understand that by using the Services they are also bound by these Terms. If a care team member misuses the platform, responsibility rests with you as the Primary Subscriber.
5. Free and paid plans
We offer a free tier with core features, and a paid subscription that unlocks the full platform — including the ability to build out a care team. When you sign up for a paid plan, your subscription renews automatically each billing period unless you cancel beforehand.
You can cancel at any time through the App or by contacting us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — we don't offer partial-period refunds unless required by applicable law. If we change our pricing, we'll give you reasonable advance notice before it applies to your account. Prices may not include applicable taxes (including VAT for international users), and you're responsible for any taxes that apply in your jurisdiction.
6. Using the Services responsibly
We ask that you use the Services with the same care and kindness you bring to caring for your loved one. That means:
- Only sharing information that is accurate and that you have the right to share
- Not using the platform to harass, mislead, or harm others
- Not attempting to access parts of the platform you're not authorized to use
- Not copying, scraping, or commercially exploiting our content without written permission
- Not uploading anything malicious that could damage the platform or other users' devices
If we believe these standards have been breached, we may suspend or close the relevant account. We'll always try to communicate with you before taking action where it's safe and appropriate to do so.
7. Your content
If you post or share content through the Services — care notes, updates, messages — you're responsible for it. We don't review content before it's posted, but we reserve the right to remove anything that violates these Terms or that we believe could cause harm. Please think carefully before sharing sensitive health information, especially in any shared or community features of the platform.
8. Our content and intellectual property
All content, design, and software on the Services is owned by Glya Health Inc. or its licensors. You're welcome to use it for your own personal, non-commercial purposes — saving pages, printing resources for a care meeting, and so on — but please don't republish, sell, or commercially exploit it without our written permission.
9. Third-party links
We may link to external websites and resources that we think you'll find helpful. We're not responsible for their content or privacy practices — please use them at your own discretion and review their policies independently.
10. Our liability to you
We work hard to keep the Services accurate, available, and useful — but we can't guarantee they'll always be perfect or uninterrupted. The Services are provided as-is, and to the extent permitted by law, we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the platform.
Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law. If you're an EU or UK user, your statutory consumer rights are not affected by these Terms.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware. Any disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts of Delaware.
EU and UK users: this doesn't affect your rights under GDPR, UK GDPR, or your local consumer protection laws — including any right to bring a claim before your local courts or data protection authority.
12. General
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the whole agreement between you and Glya Health about using the Services. If any part of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest remains in full effect. Our failure to enforce any provision at any point doesn't mean we've given up the right to do so in the future.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make meaningful changes, we'll let you know in advance through the App or by email.
U.S. users: continued use of the Services after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
EU and UK users: where a change affects your statutory rights or the legal basis for processing your data, we'll ask for your fresh agreement before it takes effect.
These Terms were last updated on June 9, 2025.
